please explain in more detail, if possible. I am very confused between diffrentiating the two b/c people arent using exact definitions, so it is hard to understand the differences. Sacrilege- what does everyone mean when they say yeshivish, i dont mean to stereotype but does that mean payis behind the ears type or just father is in kollel and learns torah but isnt neccesarily yeshivish? theres a difference and im not rlly sure what people are reffering to when they say it.so when u say the girls in bnos sara are yeshivish and the girls in bnos chava arent what is the difference? what do you mean by that?

that evry girl from our school is modern, which is NOT true! so i dont c a point of applying there. where there is a mix of girls ranging from hanging out with boys to not watching t.v, non jewish music etc. the second is b/c noone from my school has ever been accepted to nachlas (and girls have applied) i think they think that since i go to an open minded b.y. this is one reason that i dont think im going to apply there. Semgrad- i had been considering nachlas for a little while but i dont think its for me i hear that the girls there are very yeshivish like come from yeshivish homes and schools etc and they are very proud of that. the cr may be good for general opinions, but you should definitely make your own calls. I would recommend doing research: call people in your area that have been in the schools you are interested in and get FIRST HAND INFORMATION. hmmm…lots of qualifications that you’ve got (which is good in a way, b/c it shows you know what you need/want) but to me, in my very own opinion, it sounds like you want something that may not be there and you may need to pick and choose from your list of criteria. not to imply that good, frum, yeshivish girls dont have personality c”v, but i don’t know of a school that is known to have a very yeshivish crowd and also endorses spunk, spirit and personality,IN ADDITION to having an intellectually stimulating program, without all the pressure. but from your decription, i dont know if thats possible: you want a super yeshivish derech, but you are also open minded, but you want a narrow minded school, yet you want to be able to be you and display your personality. Monseygirl: it also sounds a little like you want to find a place that will be just like you. i am also very openminded b/c i do not come from a yeshivish home or school.Īnyone have more info on bnos sara/chava? wat are the teachers like in bnos sara? i also want to be in a school with girls that are very real, i hate the whole show and fakeness. i want to learn real practical stuff, not just nice ideas that u cant rlly do anything with.

Smile.e.face-that is exactly what i want, i could not have put it in better words. if u dont want acedemic i would consider seminar., maybe u should also consider bnos sara? i heard that its very frum girls but not all from yeshivish families and schools, more out of towny and open-minded, but it is very academic. Monseygirl- from wat ur saying it sounds like ur very similar to me, i am also more yeshivish than my family and also more openinded than other ppl w/ my hashkafos. i heard that it is more out of towny than bnos chava but not nerdy girls. Ok i am a little confused: when everyone says bnos sara is not trendy, does that mean that the girls are nerdy? b/c thats not what ive been hearing.
